From our Family to Yours
Why 25 years of experience matters...
In 1992, Mark Fichandler accepted his first job in furniture selling hand made tables and chairs at Hollywoods in Rocky Hill. Little did he know that 25 years later, he'd have his own stores all over the state of CT selling dining room furniture and children's bedroom sets. You might know Dinette Depot, his dinette store, from the local TV commercials with their catchy little jingle - "Dinette Depot - Come see what you've been looking for." If not, you might notice next time after reading this.
The store is attached (by way of the 8' sliding barn doors) to Dinette Depot's main showroom on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, CT (get directions here). With the help of his step-daughter Christina, they began to reinvent the old showroom space, exposing the concrete floors below the faded red rug and painting the walls with a modern hue of grey. Over a month later, they began to move in pieces of kids bedroom furniture into their new home. The store has been designed to inspire playful interaction with the beds. Our opening weekend was full of laughing kids climbing all over the furniture that was built for that exact reason. We have a tally counter behind the desk that we use to count the amount of times families say "WHOOOAAAA" when they walk in (just kidding - but maybe we'll start now?).
We understand that families make an investment in their furniture. Our vision is to offer the highest quality furniture that will grow with your family as the needs of your kids evolve over time. You may need a single bed right now for your only child, but there may come a day when you'll need to add one more above it. Then maybe you'll want to add a desk when it's time to do homework, or stair that double as drawers when you need extra storage space. Our Maxtrix line of furniture is 100% modular with over 30,000 possible combinations of beds, bunks, lofts & more.
We're so happy to be here, selling awesome bedroom furniture to amazing families who appreciate products with the wow factor. Come down and see us!
